Good Deed #25 - Helping the Homeless.

These are some of the toiletries I've collected to give to the Hutt Street Centre, as well as buying brand new toothbrushes, deodorant, toothpaste etc.
Also collecting jumpers, blankets, beanies, gloves, socks and scarves.

Good Deed #23 - 24 - Donating Money

Over these two days I donated small change to The Ronald McDonald House Charity.

With my RAA Membership Renewal form I received there was an option to donate to their Jump Start Youth Employment Programme, so I did!

Good Deed #22 - St Vinnies Winter Appeal

"There is no magic solution to poverty.

Today I donated to the Vinnies Winter Appeal. This winter, Vinnies commitment to helping those affected by poverty will be more essential than ever. A global economic crisis, an increasing unemployment rate and high rents mean many will struggle to make ends meet. Home Visitation, practical assistance, education and recreational programs and accommodation services are all funded through the generous donations of those in a position to help.

Good Deed #19

Mum has been away at a conference for 3 days so today before she gets home I've made sure the house is tidy and clean. She is a MASSIVE stress head when it comes to the state of the house and hates coming home to a messy house!

Good Deed #16, 17, 18 - Various!!

Good deed achieved over these three days include donating a bag of clothes to the op-shop, picking up rubbish in the local park, filling shoe boxes for Samaritans Purse, signing online petitions and cross posting some of the animals available for adoption from animal shelters on Facebook. I was walking past the local park and noticed some rubbish in the bushes so I did a quick run around picking up a few small bits, this is an easy and free way to do a good deed!

Good Deed #14 & #15 - Donations to an Animal Shelter and Raffle

Yesterday I took all the items I had bought (plus two blankets and a cat scratching pole) to the Moorook Animal Shelter, Lovely people and the animals will be making good use of the blankets and treats!

Today I packaged up a few items to send to the Penny Lane Market for their door raffle, all funds raised go to Backpacks 4 Aussie Kids.

Good Deed #13 - Buying goods for an Animal Shelter and buying Sids and Kids Merchandise.

Today while in Berri visiting friends I purchased some dog treats, toys, collars and blanket to give to the Moorook Animal Shelter.

Busy on my mini holiday to Mt Gambier. Some of the deeds I have achieved are; donating small change to Ronald McDonald house, signing petitions, taking a family friends daughter op shopping for her 8th birthday, picking up second hand clothes to send to the homeless shelter and backpacks for kids. Good Deed #8 - Loaning a Teddy for the RoadTrip!

Heading off on a road trip to Mt Gambier with my family and another family to look at farm machinery. I bought along my unicorn pillow pet for the youngest girl to play with on the 6 hour drive.

Today I donated a bunch of clothes to the local op-shop. After a big clean out the best place to take your quality stuff is the op-shop!

Good Deed #4 - Signing Petitions and Re-Posting on Facebook

Today I spent time posting links to FB pages and websites of Animal Shelters looking for donations. In particular the Knitting for Australian Dog Rescue Groups:

Good Deed #2 - Helping a New Friend & Donating Small Change

Today I was introduced to a man who has just been put onto the lung transplant list. He lives near me and so I was asked if I could meet with him and share some of my experiences. After a brief chat and swapping phone numbers I look forward to talking with him about both our experiences with the lung transplant journey. While so many good deeds can be done free of cost, some of the projects I want to do involve money. As I have no job at the moment it is impossible for me to fund every good deed! Good Deed #1 - Sign a Petition

Today started off not knowing how I was going to help. While walking down the local shopping strip I noticed a world vision booth set up and a petition for the government to continue the overseas aid they promised. One signature later and there's my first good dead done. Thinking about everything I'd like to accomplish this month and i feel I may have taken on too much for one person! So I will use the opportunity to get others involved and show YOU how easy it can be to make a difference in our world.
